We came across this Pilates video on YouTube recently and had to find the story behind it. It is clean, clear and professional and a spectacular example of what is possible with Pilates. The fast-motion sequence Wunda chair is particularly surprising. It was produced by Louise Taube, a Polestar and Stott Pilates studio owner trained in Melbourne, Australia. We interviewed him by e-mail for more information on the video.
PP: Why did you add?
Louise: For several reasons ... I wanted to draw attention to myself and my www.louisetaube.com site and show the world how much fun and how many Pilates exercises on the equipment.
I used to dance films, and I wanted to dance to the equipment and show a new perspective to make the exercises.
I think I'm eager to reach as many people as possible with Pilates - it has changed my life and I want to tell the world!
PP: How to use the video?
Louise: Making the clip is a challenge for me and a springboard for one of my dreams to Pilates DVDs and selling them worldwide.
I think I wanted answers and for courage to see the next step is to create a DVD to generate. And now, my first DVD is in production and will be available www.louisetaube.com.
PP: What was the reaction there?
Louise: My clients were impressed and become more faithful. Some were in awe. I have a few customers this new and interest of people outside Australia who want to do Pilates with me, but are a little too far!
