What is Kundalini Yoga?

Through the ages, in every civilization, there is a hidden away, a secret technology from the discovery that the individual final potentially accessible. Is a technique that is able to elevate, inspire and awaken own greatness of the individual. This quantity is in us, and the technology to do so is Kundalini Yoga.

As an enthusiastic teacher of Kundalini Yoga, I've always wondered: "What is it? Is it as Hatha Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga? Is it dynamic or static? Are meditation and breathing techniques? "My answer is always the same: all these things and much more.

Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, who now lives in New Mexico, said that there are 22 main types of yoga, each expressing a facet of the whole. A good way to understand is that any form of yoga is like the facet of a diamond. The diamond itself is Kundalini Yoga, the mother of all yogas.

Kundalini Yoga is the most inclusive of all yoga practices as it includes all aspects of yoga in her teaching. This practice, more than 8.4 million kriya (completed sequences, or sets). They consist of Kriya asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), mantras (sound), mudras (hand gestures), bandha (body locks) and meditation.

Kriya is a mix of dynamic and static postures that make a perfect set of energy, feelings show and played the instrument of the body.
