An overview of the history of yoga

We practice yoga for some time, but understand we have to look at its origins and roots. An overview of the history of yoga helps us to better appreciate the tradition of yoga. Although some researchers argue that yoga date as soon as the first Indian civilization, there is no evidence.

Yoga, in some pieces of the history of Indian religions. In Hinduism, shamanism, Buddhism and Jainism is the Yoga spiritual discipline. The first signs of a practice of yoga can be seen in shamanism. Both yoga and shamanism has objectives that focus on efforts to improve the state of body and mind. Another similarity is that they are both trying to improve the overall health of each member.
