A better way to relieve Sciatica and Piriformis Stretch

In this article, I'll add to my list of racks don'ts and displays and other popular warm-up exercise based on just nonsense and should be eliminated from your program.
This is worrisome because of the popularity of these exercises it is very likely that you practice or is recommended by a chiropractor, physiotherapist, intructor yoga or personal trainer.
As I did in my shelves not to precedent, I find a lot of science and a strong rationale why the shelves after practice two fails to encourage proper movement patterns, and based on research recently, can cause a malfunction.
Stretching Do not: Piriformis Stretch and lying or standing leg Cradle
The cradle of the leg is used by many sports trainers for mobility in the hip rotators are developed mainly by stretching the piriformis. It is actually a continuous variation of the traditional straight piriform lie.
Is one of those moving little, I used that I never really liked it. I think it's a difficult movement to guide and thought it created an unnecessary torque on the knee joint. Anyway, I stayed on my feet a chance cradle and use it occasionally. Finally, however, I decided to completely eliminate our program, while attending a workshop physiotherapy. It was called diagnosis of mechanical dysfunction and stability of recycling hip, and taught by Mark Comerford.
During the workshop, Comerford explain why stretching the piriformis from any position (standing, sitting, back, etc.) with the hip externally rotated and abducted (as in the home leg) actually will do more to stretch the posterior capsule lateral hip that the piriformis.
According to Comerford, permanent stretching of the capsule of the hip in most cases a bad thing because it can develop uncontrolled movement (eg volatility). This form of instability may eventually lead to a number of disorders such as hip impingement syndrome hip.
Hip impingement occurs when the head of the femur (thigh) abuts against the socket (hip). In the process, the labrum (cartilage around the edge of the tube) gets pinched.
That's when I realized something very important. I realized that the cradle leg and hip stretch the piriformis traditional landscape in much the same position as if the tailor.
Comerford told us what happened with some physical therapists have said for years how to control his legs crossed as it can cause malfunction of the hip. Until then, I never had the connection. It became clear to me then that the cradle of the leg that extends it. Only the last nail in the coffin of the leg nursery, I found an article on the research of Dr. hip impingement. John C. Clohisy said something pretty amazing.
"The improvement of MRI techniques has allowed this issue closely. So we now know that many people have no symptoms femoroacetabular impingement." (John Clohisy, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research Journal in September 2007. Vol. 462 pp. 115-121.)
This is very important to understand because it means that someone can actually encroachment hip and do not even know that have it. What is also important to understand that the first thing a qualified physiotherapist of a patient from the encroachment of the hips to do is to avoid sitting with legs crossed, as it increases the problem.
Thus, by performing the cradle leg stretching traditional pear (same effect as cross-legged) may well be a malfunction
